Lexington Girls' Softball is a non-profit recreation softball league that is located at

1159 Nazareth Rd. Lexington, SC 29073.

We play most games at this location but may play a few away games at other Lexington County Parks.

Age groups: 6U, 8U, 10U, 12U, 16U

$120 per player for 8U - 16U (age is determined by age on January 1, 2026).

$80 for 6U

BIRTH CERTIFICATES:

Birth certificates must be given to league commissioners for all new registrants. They must be uploaded to your account. They are verified by a secure 3rd party. We do not have access to see the birth certificates for security and safety reasons.

ASSESSMENTS:

Assessments will be 2/9 and 2/10. Your 8U and up child will need to assess ONLY if they DIDN'T PLAY IN FALL 2025, they don't intend to or can't stay with the coach they had in the Fall, or if they are moving up an age level! **6U DOES NOT NEED TO ASSESS AT ALL** You will get an email with assessment times/age groups as we get closer.

DRAFT:

If your child needs to attend assessments and does not attend (sick, vacation, etc.) then they will be drafted as a Hat Pick. The Draft will be held 2/13 for all 8U and up coaches. You will hear from your child's coach by 2/15 with practice dates/times and additional instructions. If your child is 6U your child will be assigned to a team, and you will hear from your child's coach by 2/15 as well. Siblings in the same age group will be placed on a team together unless parents request otherwise.

SEASON DATES:

Monday, February 16th starts Spring softball and will run through the middle of May 2026. We will have no games during the week of spring break (4/6-4/10).

Regular season games will take place on a Monday, Tuesday or Thursday nights with each team playing two games a week, and one practice a week. Game days and times are subject to change. WE CANNOT GUARANTEE PRACTICE NIGHTS OR GAME NIGHTS FOR ANY PLAYER. We have around 300 players so we can't accommodate all of these requests.

GAME TIMES & DAYS:

Game times are as follows:

6U and 8U games start at 6:15 pm. 

10U, 12U and 16U will be held at 6:15 pm or 7:30 pm. We try to always have the oldest groups scheduled at the later times, however there may be a game or 2 that is out of the norm.

EQUIPMENT:

Helmet with a full face mask and chin strap, glove, fielders mask, bat & rubber cleats.

UNIFORMS:

Please double check the uniform sizes. It will be the parent’s responsibility to purchase another uniform if incorrect size is selected. There will also be a delay in re-orders since each uniform is custom printed for each player to include players number on the back. LGS will also have try-on samples at the fields during registration. If there are any questions about uniforms, please let us know. Players will need to provide thier own pants.

I the parent/guardian of the registrant, a minor agree that I and the registrant will abide by the rules of Lexington Girls Softball, its affiliated organizations and sponsors. Recognizing the possibility of physical injury associated with softball and in consideration of the Lexington Girls Softball, accepting the registrant for its softball programs and activities (the programs), I hereby release, discharge and / or otherwise indemnify the Lexington Girls Softball League, its affiliated organizations and sponsors, their employees and associated personnel, including the owners of the fields and facilities utilized by the programs and/or being transported to or from the same, which transportation I authorize. I certify the registrant is medically able to play softball. I also give consent for emergency medical care prescribed by a duly licensed Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Dentistry. This care may be given under whatever conditions are necessary to preserve life, limb or well being of the registrant. I will abide by the parents code of conduct as given by Lexington Girls Softball League, the Lexington County Recreation and Aging Commission Youth Sports “No Tolerance” Policy and USSSA rules. It is my responsibility to obtain an electronic copy at the following website www.lgssc.com. I authorize Lexington Girls Softball League to release photographs of the registrant to media, including but not limited to newsprint, television, internet, for the promotion of softball without reimbursement.
