Save the Date for Early Bird Spring Softball Registration

Lexington Girls' Softball is a non-profit recreation softball league that is located at
1159 Nazareth Rd. Lexington, SC 29073.
We play most games at this location but can play a few games at other Lexington County Parks.

Age groups: 6U, 8U, 10U, 12U, 16U

$75 per player (age is determined by age on January 1, 2020).

Sign up by January 15th to receive $5 off your daughters registration fee.
New this season - $5 sibling discount begins with 2nd child registered!!

LGS will be holding registration at the fields on Friday, January 31st, from 6–8 p.m.

$25.00 late fee will be added starting on February 1st, 2020.

Registration closes midnight on February 14th, 2020.
$25.00 Return Check Fee

BIRTH CERTIFICATES:
Birth certificates must be given to league commissioners for all new registrants. They can be scanned and emailed to [email protected], mailed to Lexington Girls’ Softball, PO Box 85881, Lexington, SC 29073, or arrangements can be made accordingly.

ASSESSMENTS
LGS will hold assessments for 8U - 16U February 3rd, 4th, and 6th. There are no assessments for 6U. The assessments are only for new players to LGS, fall 2019 returning players who would like to switch teams or fall 2019 returning players who would like to try to assess up.

Monday, February 3rd 8U & 10U girls with last names starting A–L
8U players assess at 6pm
10U players assess at 7:30pm
*If your daughter played fall softball for LGS and would like to either switch teams or assess up to 10U / 12U, she will need to attend assessments. Failure to attend will leave her on her current team for spring. Please bring your helmet, glove, face-mask & bat to assessments.

Tuesday, February 4th 8U & 10U girls with last names starting M-Z
8U players assess at 6pm
10U players assess at 7:30pm
*If your daughter played fall softball for LGS and would like to either switch teams or assess up to 10U / 12U, she will need to attend assessments. Failure to attend will leave her on her current team for spring. Please bring your helmet, glove, face-mask & bat to assessments.

Thursday, February 6th
12U players assess at 6pm
16U players assess at 7:30pm
*If your daughter played fall softball for LGS and would like to either switch teams or assess up to 16U, she will need to attend assessments. Failure to attend will leave her on her current team for spring. Please bring your helmet, glove, face-mask & bat to assessments.

Pitchers and Catchers - please make sure that you stay for pitcher and catcher assessments that are scheduled after the general assessment is done.

Assessments are only to help in the drafting of teams. All registered players will be placed on a team. If you are unable to attend assessments, the player will be considered a hat pick at draft.

SEASON DATES:
Monday, March 16th starts spring softball and will run through the week of May 23rd, 2020. We will have no games during the week of spring break. On Saturday, April 18th, LGS will have a fun day and team pictures. End of season closing ceremonies will be on Saturday, May 30th.

Regular season games will take place on a Monday, Tuesday or Thursday nights with each team playing two games a week, and one practice a week. Game days and times are subject to change.

GAME TIMES & DAYS:
Game times are as follows:
6U and 8U games start at 6:15 pm.
10U will be held at 6:15 pm or 7:30 pm.
12U and 16U at 7:30 pm

EQUIPMENT:
Helmet with a full face mask and chin strap. Glove, bat & rubber cleats for 8U and up.

UNIFORMS:
Please double check the uniform sizes. It will be the parent’s responsibility to purchase another uniform if incorrect size is selected. There will also be a delay in re-orders since each uniform is custom printed for each player to include players number on the back. There is a uniform sizing chart located under Coaches and Parents Tab. LGS will also have try-on samples at the fields during registration. If there are any questions about uniforms, please let us know.

CANTEEN:
For the spring season, the canteen will be ran by all volunteers. You can sign up to volunteer during the registration process. We greatly appreciate your willingness to volunteer!!
